March

Repower has integrated the Mobility car sharing service into its own fleet of vehicles. The new service is available to everyone and was created thanks to a cross-border Interreg project.

The fully electric shared cars can be used by locals and guests.

They are the latest generation of purely electric cars: two Skoda Enyaq iVs, which have four-wheel drive and can cover longer distances. The vehicles are located in Poschiavo and can be used all year round by any resident or guest with Mobility membership. What’s special is the fact that the two vehicles are also part of Repower’s fleet and are used for company business.

Repower created this new service in Valposchiavo in collaboration with the car sharing company Mobility, the Bernina region and several Italian partners. The launch of the car sharing service was part of the Interreg Liveliness project. “This was the first Interreg project for Repower. It was important for us to take part not only because the issue of sustainability is close to our hearts, but also because we were able to unite the two souls of Repower, the Swiss and the Italian, in a cross-border project,” explains Repower project manager Paolo Raselli.

The car sharing service in Valposchiavo was launched as a pilot project in 2021. After a successful pilot phase, in March 2023 Repower decided to continue the project. Thanks to the integration of these two shared cars, Repower has been able to reduce its “traditional” company fleet by three vehicles. In 2023, the car sharing vehicles cover a total of over 28,000 kilometres.
