CERta: a step to greater sustainability
September
Repower Italia’s customers increasingly demand a commitment to sustainability that can be backed by official documents. To fulfil this need, Repower has expanded its range of guarantees of origin.
Guarantees of origin are electronic certificates issued by the Gestore dei Servizi Energetici (GSE) to certify the renewable origin of generated electricity. To offer complete transparency to customers who opt for an environmentally friendly supply, since 2011 Italian legislation has stipulated that all renewable energy supplied must be covered by guarantees of origin. For this reason, in addition to the more complex SCELTAverdedentro, for more than ten years we have also been offering CERta, a lean and flexible commercial solution for the supply of guarantees of origin.
The changing needs of customers, who are paying more and more attention to the environmental impact of their consumption, have prompted us to completely revise our CERta services: “From a simple contract addendum that enabled companies to meet their sustainability commitments, CERta has evolved into a tool favoured by customers and consultants and increasingly in demand,” explains Lucia Trevisani, Head of Marketing at Repower Vendita.
The new set-up is as follows: Since September, CERta customers have been able to access a whole series of documents in the protected area; these documents show the annual amount of renewable energy consumed and a calculation of the corresponding CO2 emissions offset. There is also a special asset that can be used in the customer’s digital communication to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability.
